You should know all baby tips
Baby care is actually pleasurable but creates stress too among new parents. When you have a new born baby, it is obvious that you will have a tight time. You have to take proper care for the baby and you need to do your household chores too. You might have already heard a lot of tips for baby care, but you should understand that your baby is unique and you have to find out what works best for your baby.
1. Breastfeeding is very essential for a newborn. If for some reasons, you are not able to feed your baby you can go for bottle feeding. After every feed, you have to burp the baby. This ensures that the baby doesn't get gas since newborns are prone to get gas faster.
2. If your baby is more than a few weeks old and you want to get back to work, you cannot expect your baby to forget about breastfeeding. If you know that you will leave your child with a nurse, you need to make your baby accustomed to bottle feeding much before leaving your baby under the care of a nurse.
3. Many moms feel that bottle feeding prevents them from feeding the baby with breast milk. But this is not true. There are breast pumps and you can use them to store your milk for bottle feeding.
4. When you feed the baby with bottle, be cautious that you don't let the baby sleep with the bottle in his or her mouth, especially, when your baby has developed teeth, this practice will create cavities leading to dental problems.
5. Until your child starts moving and getting dirty, a bath two or three times per week is sufficient. However, you have to give sponge bath every time you change the diaper. Leaving the baby with dirty diapers invites infections and you need to avoid this completely.
6. While you take the baby for bath, keep everything including towel, soap and shampoo ready. Never leave your baby alone in the tub even for a minute. Also when you bathe the baby, close the ears with towel or covers so that water doesn't enter his or her ears.

Information about mother and baby food
Dietary supplements containing isolated vitamins or minerals do not appear to have the same beneficial effects as fruit and vegetables themselves. Indeed, supplements may even cause more harm than good. Therefore, studies appear to suggest that eating fruit and vegetables is much more beneficial.
Obviously, pregnancy and lactation place major demands on the body. To meet these demands the body needs good nutrition to stay energetic and to enable mother and baby to be as healthy as possible. One way we can do this is by eating a balanced diet, including plenty of fruit and vegetables.

Most children's bath products also come in special formulations for sensitive skins, and it's best to stick to these, especially for babies, who are prone to skin rashes and dry patches.
Bubble baths tend to contain perfumes and colorants, so if you want to use these, watch out for any skin reaction.
If you suspect your baby or child has eczema or any other allergic skin condition, seek your doctor's advice on bath products, as there are special emollient bath additives which may be free on prescription.
About baby skin
A baby’s skin is very sensitive. Before you use any baby linens or baby clothes for the first time, wash the items in a hypoallergenic detergent or soap formulated for babies. Also, use only soap or bath solution meant for babies when you bathe your infant. Adult products are too harsh for a young baby’s skin.
Babies don’t get very dirty, so you don’t need to bathe your baby every day if you keep the face, head and diaper area clean. Wipe your baby’s face and head gently with a soft, wet washcloth or dampened cotton balls. Be sure to get into all skin creases, especially where dribbled milk might collect. And clean your baby’s bottom well with each diaper change.
When dressing your baby, choose loose-fitting, soft garments and layer for warmth. Be sensitive to your baby’s environment, and be ready to peel off a layer or two when in a warm car, shop or restaurant.
If your baby has little pimples along skin folds, especially on the neck, back, shoulders, chest or diaper area, she may have prickly heat, which can be remedied by avoiding heat and humidity, administering cool baths and dressing her in light, loose clothing
1.Before and after carrying out any baby-care, especially cord care, it is important to wash hands thoroughly.
2. First baths will now be carried out using plain water and cotton wool. This will help to protect the delicate skin while it is vulnerable to germs, chemicals and water loss. A baby comb can be used to gently remove any debris from thick hair after delivery. Please bring a baby comb into hospital with you.

Baby food recipes
110 ml water
1 tbsp agar flakes* or gelatine
220 ml fruit puree
330 ml fruit juice
*Agar is derived from seaweed and is used as a thickener. You can find it in most health food stores. It is expensive, but a little goes a long way.
In a saucepan, combine the agar and water and stir until the flakes are dissolved.
Pour in the juice and heat for a couple of minutes, stirring continuously.
Pour into a suitable bowl and place into the refrigerator.
As the mixture starts to set, stir in the puree. You can use any fruit - I prefer to mix several fruits together. Avoid pineapple though - it doesn't set well.
Return to the refrigerator until ready to serve.

8 fl oz water
a little formula/breastmilk
To make the rice powder, grind brown rice in a blender or food processor. This is best achieved by grinding in small quantities - and to make the powder REALLY fine, you might find a coffee grinder attachment useful (we use the Magic Bullet Blender which comes with regular blades AND a grinder, making it great for pureeing baby food AND for grinding grains).
You can use white rice if you prefer, but this page explains why brown rice is more nutritious.
Bring the water to a boil.
Add the rice powder, stirring constantly with a wire whisk.
Simmer for about 10 minutes (don't forget to keep stirring, or the rice will stick).
Then stir in enough formula or breastmilk to give the consistency that's best for your baby.
Once baby has been introduced to fruit, you could always add a little of his favourite puree.
A grain of rice is composed of several different layers. Only the outside layer, the 'hull', is removed during the production of brown rice and very little goodness is lost by the grain in the process.
But during the production of white rice, the grains are milled to remove more layers - the bran and almost all of the germ. This process strips the grains of the majority of their nutrients. In the final part of the process, another layer called 'aleurone' is removed and the grains are polished. But aleurone is a good source of essential fats, which play such an important role in your baby's diet.

Fruit baby food recipes - Delicious Baked Apples
Choose a nice sweet apple (those listed in the applesauce recipe above are ideal).
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F, 180 deg C.
Wash the apple and then remove the core (a melon baller is useful for this).
Sprinkle a little nutmeg or cinnamon over the apple, then fill the apple with raisins. You may like to add a drop of maple syrup, as the raisins may be quite tart.
Wrap the apple in aluminium foil and seal tightly.
Bake the apple for around 45 mins, until it feels nice and tender.
Remove from the oven and cool slightly, then remove the skin.
Mash or puree thoroughly and serve!
Baby food
4-5 medium apples, peeled and cored - use naturally sweet varieties, such as:
Gala
Golden or Red Delicious
Fuji
Pink Lady
Red Rome
pinch nutmeg or cinnamon
water
Chop the apples roughly and place in a saucepan.
Pour in about one inch of water - (you could use apple juice instead, but this will contain sugar).
Bring the apples to a boil, then reduce the heat.
Cover and simmer slowly until the apple chunks are tender (about 10-15 mins).
DON'T cook the apples to the point where the mixture actually looks like applesauce! Cooking it this long will cause it to be watery and tasteless.
Instead, remove the apple chunks from the pan and either puree them or mash them well. Thin with a little cooking water if necessary.
Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg and serve warm or - as a soothing treat for teething babies - nice and cold.http://babyhealthcenter.blogspot.com

Baby massage&bath
Baby massage is an ancient childcare practice that is still practiced all over the world. Recent medical research has proven the benefits of the same. Studies have shown that premature babies when regularly massaged require minimum hospitalization. All newborns show healthy growth, more weight gain and thrive better if they are massaged well, regularly.Do not oil baby's palms or fingers as these little ones tend to put them in their mouths or eyes often and this may cause them irritation.
Remove jewellery in hands such as rings, trim the nails or use balls of fingers to massage the baby, so his tender skin doesn’t get scratched.
Keep one hand over other hand and use them like a paddle just below the belly button of the baby to relieve any gas pains and improve her digestion.
Remove your baby's clothing and cover your baby with a soft towel or diaper. Remove your bottle of massage oil from the pocket of your Baby Slanket Use an all natural massage oil, a food-based substance that will not harm your babys delicate lymphatic system when absorbed through the skin. Before massaging, you will put a small amount in your palm and swish the oil between your hands to warm it and cover your hands. The feeling should be smooth but not slippery. The swishing noise will be a cue to baby that he or she is about to receive a massage.
Time spent massaging your baby helps you to understand his moods, needs, desires and expressions.

If your baby is having a hard time getting to sleep during this time frame, do what it takes to get him/her relaxed enough to fall asleep, such as giving your baby a bath, singing a lullaby, giving a gentle back massage after setting him/her down, or making sure he/she has a fresh diaper. In addition to putting your baby to sleep at the same time every night, be sure to use the same place. This will help your baby associate that particular area with sleep time.
